INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Introduction

On June 21, 2024, Frans Schlooz School of Excellence celebrated International Yoga Day, presided over by our Director, Rev. Fr. Augustin. The event was organized to promote the physical and mental well-being of students through the practice of yoga.

Opening Remarks

Principal Miss Sharny Clamenshiya delivered a brief introduction about the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health.

Yoga Sessions

Following the assembly, students from grades 5 to 10 participated in yoga sessions conducted by our Physical Education Teacher, Mr. Ranjith. The sessions included various yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques.

Demonstrations and Practice

Mr. Ranjith demonstrated different yoga asanas, explaining their benefits and proper techniques. Students followed along, practicing poses like Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Vrikshasana (Tree Pose), and Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation).

Group Meditation

The event concluded with a group meditation session aimed at promoting mindfulness and relaxation.

Conclusion

The International Yoga Day celebration at Frans Schlooz School of Excellence was a fruitful event that underscored the importance of yoga in fostering a healthy lifestyle.
